Why Your People are a Part of Your Brand

Many of us have different thoughts that come to mind when we hear the word “troll”. For some, it’s the story of the “Three Billy Goats Gruff and the Troll under the bridge”, for others it’s the small gremlin-like creatures

When you work in branding, you often ponder brand choice and why people choose one over another. Is it the price? How about the perceived quality or reputation of the product? Or is it because someone else told you about

If you’ve been keeping up with our blogs, as much as I do the Kardashians, you would know by now that we’ve been really into talking about what branding is and why it plays such a vital part in a

It’s true, an up-to-date and consistent brand identity could be the difference between a customer choosing you over a competitor. According to a survey by Lucidpress and Demand Metric, consistently presented brands are 3-4 times more likely to enjoy excellent

You’ve probably heard the phrase ‘brand consistency is key’ when it comes to branding, but have you ever really considered why it’s so important? Quite often, an ad will come on TV or the radio and I instantly know what

Last week, we brought you the news that Facebook had banned Australians from viewing and sharing news in their Facebook feeds. This Facebook news ban caused many pages that provide crucial information like the CFA and Queensland Health to have

So, you’re starting out in business and probably eager to dive straight into coming up with a name and designing a logo. You might have even started setting up your website and socials. It’s all very exciting, but rushing into

2020 was certainly an interesting year, to say the least (and has unfortunately carried over to 2021!) While the pandemic raged on, people started running out of things to do, and as we went into lockdown around the globe, the
We don’t believe the best brand stories are invented.
They’re found in the reasons a business began, the decisions made along the way and the people behind it. The things they care about, do differently, and perhaps don’t even realise are interesting anymore.
Often, you’re too close to your own business to see what someone else might find remarkable.
That’s why we ask questions, listen and look a little closer.
The story is already there. You just have to know where to look.
At the heart of @joannaphotography.au’s new identity is a refined wordmark designed to balance timeless elegance with a sense of movement and connection.
A sophisticated serif typeface was chosen for its enduring quality, warmth and understated premium feel. The letterforms evoke a sense of craftsmanship and longevity, reflecting the brand’s focus on creating imagery that grows in meaning over time.
Connection between the A and N introduces a sense of movement and continuity, symbolising the relationships, stories and moments that unfold throughout life.
This is why we start with your story. It’s often where the most distinctive part of a brand identity is hiding.

What makes a brand memorable?
It’s a question we’ve spent a lot of time thinking about.
Over the years, through workshops, conversations, research and more strategy documents than we could count, we started to notice the same themes appearing.
The stories that shaped a business. The beliefs behind it, where it’s going and the people it exists for. How it shows up, the perspective it brings, the impact it wants to make, and whether what it’s building can last.
These are the things we consistently investigate. So we gave each one a mark.
Past > Beliefs > Future > Connection > Identity > Expression > Impact > Longevity
Together, they form our Eight Mark Philosophy. A way of looking a little closer at what already exists within a business and finding the things that can make its brand unmistakably its own.

A few months into life at Oraco and Kannika is already deep in content plans, client shoots, brand partnerships and lots of ideas for our own branding along the way.
She brings a background in content creation, social media and influencer partnerships, but what we’re loving most is the perspective she brings to the work and the questions she asks along the way.
Very glad to have this face around the studio 🤎
On location with supervision 🤎
We loved teaming up with @joannaphotography.au on this shoot for @waltarahomes.
Together, we created a library of authentic, high-quality content that helps tell the brand`s story across socials, websites, campaigns and beyond.
A well-planned content shoot means months of purposeful content, giving brands the confidence to show up consistently and connect with their audience.
And of course, no shoot would be complete without Bobby, Scott`s very dedicated on-site supervisor, making sure everything ran smoothly 🐾
