Social Media Coordinator

We are seeking a Social Media Coordinator for a permanent, full time role, working on-site at our Mornington office. The ideal candidate for this role will be dedicated and thrive in a fast-paced agency environment.

The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the management of client social media channels. This involves everything from strategy, ideation, content writing, scheduling, community management, reporting and working closely with our internal comms and creative teams.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Daily social media management for a range of clients and industries, including brief creation, scheduling of content, caption writing, community management and reporting
  • Research and identify relevant social media trends for our client’s brands
  • Regular client communication through email/phone and face to face meetings
  • Coordinate the social media team and oversee output of work
  • Liaison with internal project stakeholders, including other designers, content creators, copywriters, directors, managers, etc.
  • Assist with the development of social media strategies and campaigns
  • Measure the success of content and campaigns so we can continue to improve
  • Support with influencer marketing campaigns, as well as content creation and production
  • Support with long-form copy for digital communication channels, including websites, emails, and blogs, keeping in mind SEO best practice
  • Support with general digital communication activities, including optimisation, analysing data and reporting

Skills & Experience

  • A relevant degree or qualification in Marketing, Communications or a similar vertical
  • An understanding of social media platforms
  • A passion for social media and creative trends
  • Conceptual and creative thinking
  • Ability to write creative short- and long-form copy and social media captions
  • Thrive on working collaboratively within a team environment, as well as autonomously
  • Outstanding attention to detail, organisation and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work within a fast paced and ever-changing environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Must have the ability to multitask and be prepared to expect that at times, tasks may be unpredictable and require you to switch priorities

Desired Attributes

  • Basic photography, videography and post-production skills advantageous
  • Experience with Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro, etc.)
  • Experience working within a MAC environment required
